The Groom

Michael Barnard grew up in the USA, in the beautiful and historical Connecticut River valley area of Western Massachusetts.   When Mike met Kerrie, he was living in Florida for work, but has since moved back to Western MA where he has many friends and family.

From a young age, Mike enjoyed learning about computers.  Electronics and programming remain a big part of his life at work and hobbies at home.  Mike enjoys his job in the Library, Information & Technology Services department at the prestigious women’s college, Mount Holyoke College.  This college ranks high on many lists of America’s most beautiful campuses and even some world-wide lists.  A great place for wedding photos!

When he is not having fun with 3D printing, photography and other creative projects, Mike has a gift for giving things life with googly eyes. He has spread the googly-eye bug to many who know him.  

The Bride

Kerrie Rusk has spent her whole life in the famous city of Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada, and the surrounding Region.  Her first flight was with Mike to go to his place in Florida. Since then she has made many visits to FL and MA.

Unfortunately, while getting a BSc in neuroscience at university, Kerrie was in a bad car accident.  This dramatically changed her life so she now focuses on a slower-paced lifestyle. The Internet is a great thing not only for meeting new people from home, but also for learning new skills on her own schedule.

Kerrie enjoys many creative pursuits such as needlework, beading and photography, along with giving her cat many cuddles.

The Cat

Mr. Cat is a cat.  We checked.  He has been Kerrie’s pet and companion for over ten years, after previous owners left him with the apartment she rented.  He has never been out of the Niagara Region, so is in for a big adventure.  Despite Mike’s allergies, he gives Mr. Cat lots of love during his visits and we are all looking forward to Mr. Cat making the move with Kerrie. Many friends and family in MA will be excited to meet him.
